Michael G. Brentari joined Search Consultants International in 1983 and has played a significant role in moving the firm into emerging markets and expanding its reach in the markets we serve.
Michael has been primarily focused in the electricity and gas markets for the deregulated energy sector for nearly 15 years. During this period, he has been instrumental in leading the placement of over 400+ energy professionals across multiple niches including energy trading, market origination, risk and quantitative analytics, transaction structuring, retail commodities, and project development.
His energy practice has covered a wide range of position levels from staff to senior vice presidents across the country and his client portfolio reflects well established and recognized energy companies, asset based and spec trading organizations and those retooling or refocusing their energy efforts. He works both retained searches and contingency recruiting.
Michael has been long recognized as one of the early entrants into the recruitment of energy professionals in the deregulated power markets and his efforts have resulted in him receiving numerous top billing awards from several search industry associations at the City, State, and National levels.
Prior to becoming a search consultant in 1980, Michael was with the United States Navy aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt and with the United States Marine Corp, 2nd Marine Division at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Michael and his wife Pilar have two daughters attending high school.
