Industrial Hygienist
Our client a major industrial manufacturing corporation, seeks a Certified industrial Hygienist to manage the occupational health and hygiene programs at one of its important facilities. The main responsibilities of the job will be:
1. Developing monitoring programs plus maintaining existing programs---new chemicals will need to be addressed as to sampling strategies on a case-by-case basis-70%;
2. Taking care of the medical surveillance program-20%;
3. Serving as the radiation safety officer (RSO) at site (1 x-ray machine; other sources are instruments)---one can pick this up on the job-10%.
The position reports to the Site EHS Manager, and this Company has an excellent track record of promoting top employees.
The position is bonus-eligible, and the company has an excellent relocation program. There will some travel (by air) involved to a sister facility in a neighboring state.
Requirements A BS in Industrial Hygiene or a closely-related discipline is mandatory. An MS or PhD in the same is
A minimum of 7-8 years of relevant experience (see above) is necessary
A CIH is mandatory
Ability to travel 15-25% is necessary.
