Our client, a major manufacturing company, is looking for a Environmental Auditor to join their auditing team for their U.S. operations. The client seeks a mid-to senior-level professional with a 4-year degree in engineering or science, and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
Though prior auditing experience is a plus, the successful candidate need not be an auditor by title now or by function. Those who have participated in facility audits as a "side" duty will be considered, if they have the desire to travel/audit and have the necessary subject matter knowledge (see below). Candidates with no auditing experience but who meet all the other criteria may also be considered.
There is 40-50% overnight travel (all domestic) to company-owned facilities.
The ideal candidate can be characterized as an environmental generalist with a strength in air quality, and a substantial understanding of the MACT process. Obviously, there are hundreds of MACTs, and only a handful apply to this client, but they want someone who knows the ins-and-outs of the MACT rules/process.
The position is bonus-eligible, and the company can pay all customary relocation expenses. The base salary for the position is commensurate with relevant experience offered, and can accommodate a more senior candidate.
BS in engineering, science, or a closely-related discipline.
A minimum of 8 years of environmental experience in the following areas:
1. A thorough understanding of MACT rules (mandatory)
2. Stormwater (highly desirable)
3. SPCC plans
